The new Range Rover Sport SVR (pictured) is officially revealed
Land Rover has been trailing the new Range Rover SVR with camouflaged prototypes making regular appearances ahead of an official debut at Pebble Beach this month. But now the Range Rover Sport SVR has been officially revealed. Conceived and developed by Jaguar Land Rover’s new Special Operations Division, the Sport SVR has been honed at the Nurburgring (which won’t please James May) to take on monster on-road SUVs like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and yet still offer most of the Land Rover off-road magic.
In early September, Transportation Design students from Istituto d'Arte Applicata e Design - Turin (IAAD) presented the results of 'Yamaha Next Move', a project sponsored by Yamaha, exploring a personal vision of a Yamaha scooter for the near future. Yamaha guided the students through the next generation of "two wheelers" suggesting two themes:

For kids that can only drive 50 cc, there are many products on the market, but sales are in decline. The project brief included evaluation of the possible causes for lack of interest and offers new solutions, including functional and aesthetic proposals.

Land Rover took a giant leap in New York last night, unveiling a concept car vision of the new Discovery family and announcing a partnership with Virgin Galactic. The Discovery was revealed on the deck of the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier alongside Virgin's SpaceShipTwo, the rocketship charged with making space tourism a commercial reality. Land Rover's SUVs will be the taxi of choice for budding, wealthy astronauts, attending Virgin's New Mexico base for training and space flights.
